Typical models of strategic interactions in computer science use simultaneous move games. However, in applications simultaneity is often hard or impossible to achieve. In this paper, we study the robustness of the Nash Equilibrium when the assumption of simultaneity is dropped.

Given a bipartite graph $G = (X \dot{\cup} D,E \subseteq X \times D)$, an X-perfect matching is a matching in G that covers every node in X. In this paper we study the following generalisation of the X-perfect matching problem, which has applications in constraint programming: Given a bipartite graph as above and a collection $\mathcal{F} \subseteq 2 ...

Saṃghabhadra on Simultaneity: Absolute Simultaneity and Relative Simultaneity
Philosophy East and WestThis article examines Saṃghabhadra's theory of simultaneity. Drawing on his account of time, I argue that his system must be taken to entail two types of simultaneity between events/entities: one grounded in their occurring at the same moment, and another grounded in the impossibility of further distinguishing them as earlier or later.

Simultaneous Cholecystectomy: to be or not to be
Obesity Surgery, 1995BACKGROUND: the argument concerning the justification for doing cholecystectomy at the same time as a gastric limiting procedure for morbid obesity continues to be a lively one. This study is an attempt to resolve this issue by reviewing the data of a single surgeon over the 10 year period from January 1983 through April of 1993.

Simultaneous matting and compositing
ACM SIGGRAPH 2006 Sketches on - SIGGRAPH '06, 2006Recent work in matting, hole filling, and compositing allows image elements to be mixed in a new composite image. Previous algorithms for matting foreground elements have assumed that the new background for compositing is unknown. We show that, if the new background is known, the matting algorithm has more freedom to create a successful matte by ...

Acquisition of electroencephalogram (EEG) during functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) provides an additional monitoring tool for the analysis of brain state fluctuations. The exploration of brain responses following inputs or in the context of state changes is crucial for a better understanding of the basic principles governing large-scale ...

Simultaneity Within Non-Simultaneity?
Time & Society, 2004This article focuses on the continuity-ruptureemergence approach that characterizes simultaneous and nonsimultaneous temporalities. It addresses the different ways individual and collective actors participate in history with the help of their experiences and expectations. Although the ‘speeding up’ process increasingly influences contemporary societies,

Marta Minujin’s “Simultaneity in Simultaneity”
The Drama Review, 1968Simultaneity in Simultaneity, presented in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 24 October, 1966, by Marta Minujin was probably the first performance piece in history to make use of several coordinated mass media. In part of the work, each “spectator” was alone in his own home: relatively few perceived every dimension of the performance, but aspects of it were ...

Simultaneous Multiple Pilomatrixomas
Pediatric Dermatology, 2006Abstract: We report a 10‐year‐old girl with synchronous multiple pilomatrixomas. Pilomatrixomas are generally solitary tumors; synchronous multiple tumors are very rare. Multiple or recurring tumors may be found in association with various syndromes, and multiple tumors may be familial.
