A Broad Continuous Temperature Tunable DBR Single-Frequency Fiber Laser at 1064 nm

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2016
Based on a temperature-dependent longitudinal-mode-selection model, a broad temperature range for single-longitudinal-mode (SLM) operation of a short DBR phosphate fiber laser has been demonstrated.

High-efficiency, single-longitudinal-mode ring fibre laser

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2005
A novel single-longitudinal-mode erbium-doped ring fibre laser is proposed and demonstrated experimentally. It combines a narrow-linewidth fibre Bragg grating (FBG) with several Mach-Zehnder mode filters (MZF) to obtain a single-frequency emission. It yields a power conversion efficiency of 16%.

Developmental, Neuroanatomical and Cellular Expression of Genes Causing Dystonia

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Dystonia is one of the most common movement disorders, with variants in multiple genes identified as causative. However, an understanding of which developmental stages, brain regions, and cell types are most relevant is crucial for developing relevant disease models and therapeutics.

Whole‐Body Pattern of Muscle Degeneration and Progression in Sarcoglycanopathies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To characterize whole‐body intramuscular fat distribution pattern in patients with sarcoglycanopathies and explore correlations with disease severity, duration and age at onset. Methods Retrospective, cross‐sectional, multicentric study enrolling patients with variants in one of the four sarcoglycan genes who underwent whole‐body ...

Characterization of Clinical Phenotype to Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein Concentrations in Alexander Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To determine the concentration of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and plasma in Alexander disease (AxD) and whether GFAP levels are predictive of disease phenotypes. Methods CSF and plasma were collected (longitudinally when available) from AxD participants and non‐AxD controls.

Remote Assessment of Ataxia Severity in SCA3 Across Multiple Centers and Time Points

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is a genetically defined ataxia. The Scale for Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) is a clinician‐reported outcome that measures ataxia severity at a single time point. In its standard application, SARA fails to capture short‐term fluctuations, limiting its sensitivity in trials.

Longitudinal dynamics with rf phase modulation in the Brazilian electron storage ring

open access: yesPhysical Review Special Topics. Accelerators and Beams, 2006
In the Brazilian synchrotron light source (LNLS—Laboratório Nacional de Luz Síncrotron), we observed that modulating the phase of the accelerating fields at approximately twice the synchrotron frequency suppressed remarkably well a longitudinal coupled ...

Clustering Algorithm Reveals Dopamine‐Motor Mismatch in Cognitively Preserved Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To explore the relationship between dopaminergic denervation and motor impairment in two de novo Parkinson's disease (PD) cohorts. Methods n = 249 PD patients from Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) and n = 84 from an external clinical cohort.
