Integration of Refractive Microlenses on BP/MoS2 Photodiodes for Enhanced Infrared Photodetection

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates the successful integration of black phosphorus/molybdenum disulfide infrared photodetectors with refractive microlenses to significantly enhance detection. The design achieves a 20‐fold photocurrent enhancement, enabling a room‐temperature detectivity of 1.83 × 109 cmHz1/2W−1, and demonstrates high‐resolution (1023 × 768) single‐

Monolithic integration of SiC diode detectors into scanning X‐ray microscopy optical elements for in situ beam diagnostics

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, EarlyView.
Silicon carbide detectors are monolithically integrated into order‐sorting apertures and center stops for in situ soft X‐ray beam diagnostics in STXM. Functionalized components enable simultaneous monitoring of incident beam intensity and the transverse position at sample‐relevant locations without degrading optical performance.Reliable monitoring of ...

Metrology for Quantum Hardware Standardization—Charting a Pathway: A Strategic Review

open access: yesIEEJ Transactions on Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Volume 21, Issue 9, Page 1282-1296, September 2026.
Advances in quantum mechanics have long underpinned metrology by enabling practical realizations of units through quantum effects. With the 2019 SI revision, traceability is anchored in defined fundamental constants, reinforcing the quantum‐mechanical basis of modern standards. In parallel, quantum technologies are transitioning from laboratory science
