Probing single crystal orientation by X-ray diffraction for nickel-based superalloys

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2021
The deviation angles of Ni-based single crystal superalloys are investigated by two techniques of rotating orientation X-ray diffraction (RO-XRD) and back-reflection Laue X-ray diffraction (BRL-XRD).

High-Pressure Single-Crystal X-Ray Diffraction Study of ErVO4. [PDF]

open access: yesInorg Chem
We present an investigation into the crystal structure of ErVO4 under variable pressure conditions. The high-pressure single crystal X-ray diffraction experiments performed employing helium as the pressure medium facilitated structure refinements up to 24.1(2) GPa. The transition from zircon to scheelite was observed at a pressure of 7.9(1) GPa.

A robotic goniometer exchanger for high-throughput single-crystal X-ray diffraction at SPring-8 [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation
Rapid and reliable sample handling is essential for high-throughput single-crystal diffraction at modern synchrotron facilities. At the high-energy single-crystal X-ray diffraction beamline BL02B1 of SPring-8, a compact six-axis robotic arm was ...

Comparative crystal structure determination of griseofulvin: Powder X-ray diffraction versus single-crystal X-ray diffraction [PDF]

open access: yesScience Bulletin, 2012
In an attempt to compare crystal structure determination from powder data and single-crystal data, crystal structure of griseofulvin (C17H17ClO6) was tested by both powder and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Lattice parameters of griseofulvin are a=90.0°, a=b=8.9757 A, c=19.9345 A, V=1605.99 A3 from powder data coinciding with α=90.0°, a=b=8.9714 A ...

Characterisation and Study of Compounds by Single Crystal X-ray Diffraction

open access: yesCrystals, 2020
A few years after the discovery in 1895 of X-rays by Röntgen, the first successful experiment single crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD) was reported by Laue, Friedrich, and Knipping [...]

Improved Solubility and Dissolution Rate of Ketoprofen by the Formation of Multicomponent Crystals with Tromethamine

open access: yesCrystals, 2022
This study aims to improve the dissolution rate of ketoprofen by preparing multicomponent crystals with tromethamine. The multicomponent crystals (equimolar ratio) of ketoprofen and tromethamine were prepared by the solvent co-evaporation method.

Crystal Structure Dependence of the Energy Transfer from Tb(III) to Yb(III) in Metal–Organic Frameworks Based in Bispyrazolylpyridines

open access: yesCrystals, 2020
Luminescent mixed lanthanide metal−organic framwork (MOF) materials have been prepared from two polyheterocyclic diacid ligands, 2,6-bis(3-carboxy-1-pyrazolyl)pyridine and 2,6-bis(4-carboxy-1-pyrazolyl)pyridine.

X-ray Diffraction of Photonic Colloidal Single Crystals [PDF]

open access: yesLangmuir, 1997
We have resolved a great number of Bragg peaks of photonic colloidal single crystals by synchrotron small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS). We find that charge-stabilized colloids form face-centered cubic crystals at all densities up to ∼60 vol %. The colloidal particles are highly ordered on their lattice sites, which confirms that these self-organizing ...

Accurate crystal structure of ice VI from X-ray diffraction with Hirshfeld atom refinement

open access: yesIUCrJ, 2022
Water is an essential chemical compound for living organisms, and twenty of its different crystal solid forms (ices) are known. Still, there are many fundamental problems with these structures such as establishing the correct positions and thermal ...
