Blastocyst elective single embryo transfer improves perinatal outcomes among women undergoing assisted reproductive technology in Indonesia

open access: yesAsian Pacific Journal of Reproduction, 2020
Objective: To compare the effectiveness of blastocyst elective single embryo transfer (eSET) and double embryo transfer (DET) in reducing low birth weight, preterm birth, and perinatal mortality in in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycles of Indonesian women.

Elective single embryo transfer: Comparison of blastocyst and cleavage‐stage embryo transfer [PDF]

open access: yesReproductive Medicine and Biology, 2005
Objective:   Blastocysts are reportedly suitable for preventing multiple pregnancies as a result of the high implantation rate per embryo. The present study compared clinical results for elective single embryo transfer (ET) between blastocysts and cleavage‐stage embryos in order to ascertain the usefulness of blastocyst culturing in single ET.Methods:

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Clinical pregnancy, live birth, and twin pregnancy outcomes of nine frozen-thawed embryo transfer strategies across female age groups: a real-world cohort study

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology
BackgroundThe selection of a frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FET) strategy requires balancing the potential for improved clinical pregnancy and live birth outcomes against the risk of multiple pregnancy.

The Association Between Embryo Quality, Number of Transferred Embryos and Live Birth Rate After Vitrified Cleavage-Stage Embryos and Blastocyst Transfer

open access: yesFrontiers in Physiology, 2020
ObjectiveThe single-embryo transfer (SET) is the recommended approach to improve the live birth rate and reduce the complications related with multiple pregnancies.

Evaluation of embryo transfer time (day 2 vs day 3) after imposed single embryo transfer legislation: When to transfer?

open access: yes, 2013
To determine whether the timing of embryo transfer (day 2 or day 3) affects pregnancy outcome in IVF patients, receiving single or double embryo transfer, 380 patients were included in this retrospective study.

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Somatostatin receptor 4 (SSTR4) is a tumor suppressor in cutaneous and head & neck squamous cell carcinomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study identifies somatostatin receptor 4 (Sstr4) as a critical tumor suppressor against skin and head/neck cancers (HNSCC, cSCC, and BCC). The loss of Sstr4 removes a check on cell growth, causing hyperactivation of the MAPK‐ERK signaling pathway (↑).

Extracellular vesicle lipidomics liquid biopsy reveals systemic and tumor microenvironment metabolic reprogramming in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Extracellular vesicle (EV) lipidomic profiling of plasma and ascites from patients with high‐grade serous ovarian cancer and of ovarian cancer cell lines reveals enrichment of triglycerides (TGs), diacylglycerols (DGs), phosphatidylcholine (PCs), sphingomyelins (SMs), reflecting tumor metabolic reprogramming.

Comparative Analysis of Nuclear Transfer Embryo Derived Mouse Embryonic Stem Cells. Part II: Gene regulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In a mouse model nuclear transfer embryo-derived embryonic stem cell lines (ntESCs) of various genetic backgrounds and donor cell types were compared with reference ESCs and analyzed comprehensively at molecular level as a second part of a larger study ...
