Precipitation efficiencies for redispersed welding smoke are measured as functions of humidity and hence resistivity for a single-stage precipitator and for a cascaded two-stage-single-stage combination. Weight efficiencies are obtained through measurements of dust delivered by a feeder apparatus and dust collected on a filter beyond the precipitation ...

Single Stage Versus Two Stage Repair
2004Opinions about the best operative technique for patients with hypospadias have varied, evolving with time. Until the 1960s, the accepted methods for surgical management of hypospadias involved a two-stage approach. The most popular techniques were those of Thiersch (1869) and Duplay (1880), modified and popularised by Byars (1955), and that of Nove ...

A Single Stage Virtual Synchronous Machine
2019 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT), 2019Virtual Synchronous Machines (VSM) are proposed to support a power grid with high penetration of inverter-based distribution generation (DG) units. When the number of inverters connected to a grid increases, grid lacks the inertia that conventionally is introduced by the synchronous machine (SM). Therefore, VSMs are proposed to virtually introduce such

In this chapter, the test problem is introduced for the case of a standard single-stage design, meaning that no interim analysis is performed. The underlying parameters and distributional assumptions, the test problems, and the test statistics will be separately formulated for (composite) binary endpoints and for (composite) time-to-(first-)event ...

SINGLE STAGE EXCISION OF PREAURICULAR SINUS
Australian and New Zealand Journal of Surgery, 1995A total of 44 patients with preauricular sinus underwent one‐stage surgical treatment. There were 32 unilateral and 12 bilateral cases giving a total of 56 sinuses. Of these 16 were infected at the time of presentation. Based on the observation that preauricular sinus represents the duct of a preauricular gland which is closely adherent to the ...

IN many types of engine the supercharger is built on to the accessory‐drive end, that is the rear of the engine, so that the supercharger shaft lies co‐axially or parallel with the crankshaft. This has the great advantage of permitting the use of simple spur gearing, but suffers from the disadvantage that in passing through both intake and delivery ...

In chapter 4, the response of junction transistors to small signals was investigated. The transistor was, of course, assumed to be suitably biased to give normal operating conditions, the small input and output signals being superimposed on standing levels.

The Nasolabial Flap as a Single-Stage Procedure
Archives of Dermatology, 1990The nasolabial flap is a useful reconstructive technique for the repair of defects on the nose. An improved technique used in 32 patients is presented, which allows use of this procedure as a single-stage rather than the more commonly seen two-stage procedure.

The Single Stages of Reconstruction
1991Relations within the man—environment—system change with time after a disaster. Hazard research proposes that this time can be divided into four typical stages. Our research aimed to test this theory.
