Entanglement, measurement, and conditional evolution of the Kondo singlet interacting with a mesoscopic detector

open access: yes, 2007
We investigate various aspects of the Kondo singlet in a quantum dot (QD) electrostatically coupled to a mesoscopic detector. The two subsystems are represented by an entangled state between the Kondo singlet and the charge-dependent detector state.

Preparation of Long-Lived Nuclear Singlet States in Three-Spin Systems

open access: yesChinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2018
Long-lived nuclear singlet states are widely used in NMR because they have longer lifetime (TS) than conventional longitudinal relaxation time (T1).

Origins of singlet fission in solid pentacene from an ab initio Green's-function approach

open access: yes, 2017
We develop a new first-principles approach to predict and understand rates of singlet fission with an ab initio Green's-function formalism based on many-body perturbation theory.

Tumor‐agnostic detection of circulating tumor DNA in patients with advanced pancreatic cancer using targeted DNA methylation sequencing and cell‐free DNA fragmentomics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We evaluated circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) detection in advanced pancreatic cancer using DNA methylation, cell‐free DNA fragment lengths, and 5′ end motifs. Machine learning models were trained to estimate ctDNA levels from each feature and their combination.

Exact Wave Packet Dynamics of Singlet Fission in Unsubstituted and Substituted Polyene Chains within Long-Range Interacting Models

open access: yes, 2017
Singlet fission (SF) is a potential pathway for significant enhancement of efficiency in organic solar cells (OSC). In this paper, we study singlet fission in a pair of polyene molecules in two different stacking arrangements employing exact many-body ...

Predictors of response and rational combinations for the novel MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665 in acute myeloid leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...

Reversible gating of singlet fission by tuning the role of a charge-transfer state

open access: yesNature Communications
Stimulus-responsive triplet excited states and multiexcitonic logic gates have garnered increasing interest. Singlet fission is an efficient multiple exciton generation process, in which one singlet converts into two triplets. Singlet fission is, however,

Dissociation of singlet excitons dominates photocurrent improvement in high-efficiency non-fullerene organic solar cells

open access: yesNano Research Energy
In organic solar cells, the singlet and triplet excitons dissociate into free charge carriers with different mechanisms due to their opposite spin state. Therefore, the ratio of the singlet and triplet excitons directly affects the photocurrent.

Cotunneling Spectroscopy in Few-Electron Quantum Dots

open access: yes, 2004
Few-electron quantum dots are investigated in the regime of strong tunneling to the leads. Inelastic cotunneling is used to measure the two-electron singlet-triplet splitting above and below a magnetic field driven singlet-triplet transition.

Durable B‐Cell Impairment While Sparing IgA B Cells After Ocrelizumab Therapy in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Ocrelizumab (OCR), a humanized anti‐CD20 monoclonal antibody, is highly efficient in relapsing–remitting multiple sclerosis (RR‐MS). We assessed early cellular B‐cell profiles in patients prior to OCR treatment, on OCR treatment, and after 15 months of therapy discontinuation.
