La morphologie nominale et les segments flottants en kabyle
The fact that phonological objects may be present in the lexical entry of the root but absent from the surface realization is made possible by the restricted configuration of the syllabic space: the structure does not offer enough space for all the ...

Singularity, Wielandt’s lemma and singular values
The authors obtain some upper and lower bounds for the largest and the smallest singular values of certain complex matrices based on the entries and diagonal dominance. A relationship between largest singular value of a block matrix and its block norm matrix is obtained. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the usefulness of their results.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

By applying Mawhin's continuation theorem, we study the existence of positive periodic solutions for a second-order neutral functional differential equation $$ ((x(t)-cx(t-\sigma)))''+f(x(t)) x'(t)+g(t,x(t-\delta))=e(t), $$ where g has a strong ...

Da Psicanálise como uma ciência particular do singular
O artigo propõe considerarmos a psicanálise como uma ciência do singular; diferencia ciência do cientificismo contemporâneo, e define os termos “particular”, “ciência”, e “singular”.

Targeting p38α in cancer: challenges, opportunities, and emerging strategies
p38α normally regulates cellular stress responses and homeostasis and suppresses malignant transformation. In cancer, however, p38α is co‐opted to drive context‐dependent proliferation and dissemination. p38α also supports key functions in cells of the tumor microenvironment, including fibroblasts, myeloid cells, and T lymphocytes.

ON RESOLVING SINGULARITIES [PDF]
Let V be an irreducible affine algebraic variety over a field k of characteristic zero, and let (f_0,...,f_m) be a sequence of elements of the coordinate ring. There is probably no elementary condition on the f_i and their derivatives which determines whether the blowup of V along (f_0,...,f_m) is nonsingular. The result is that there indeed is such an

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
