A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Asymptotic behavior of singular solutions to semilinear fractional elliptic equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2014
In this article we study the asymptotic behavior of positive singular solutions to the equation $$ (-\Delta)^{\alpha} u+u^p=0\quad\text{in } \Omega\setminus\{0\}, $$ subject to the conditions $u=0$ in $\Omega^c$ and $\lim_{x\to0}u(x)=\infty ...

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

A novel method for nonlinear singular oscillators

open access: yesJournal of Low Frequency Noise, Vibration and Active Control, 2021
The present work deals with a study of a nonlinear singular oscillator. To approximate the frequency–amplitude relationship of the singular oscillator, reproducing kernel method is employed. The approximate solution is compared with the exact solution as

Singularity of solutions to singular SPDEs

open access: yes
Building on the notes [Hai17], we give a sufficient condition for the marginal distribution of the solution of singular SPDEs on the $d$-dimensional torus to be singular with respect to the law of the Gaussian measure induced by the linearised equation.

Methylation biomarkers can distinguish pleural mesothelioma from healthy pleura and other pleural pathologies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

On the numerical solution of the multidimensional singular integrals and integral equations, used in the theory of linear viscoelasticity

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1988
In the present report, we investigate the formulation, for the numerical evaluation of the multidimensional singular integrals and integral equations, used in the theory of linear viscoelasticity. Some simple formulas are given for the numerical solution
