Phonon‐Driven Tetrahedral Tilts Enable Ultralow Bulk Thermal Expansion and Interstitial Oxide‐Ion Migration in Phenacite Solid Electrolytes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a design paradigm of phonon‐driven negative‐thermal‐expansion (NTE) flexible framework that exploits the intrinsic lattice flexibility of NTE frameworks to simultaneously suppress thermal expansion and activate oxide‐ion conduction, offering a promising strategy to mitigate TEC mismatch in solid‐state ionic devices.

Sintering Behavior of Nano-Ceramic Coatings

MRS Proceedings, 1999
ABSTRACTThis paper concentrates on the densification of sol gel derived thin nano-ceramic coatings by laser radiation and by furnace treatment. Deposition of the film is done by means of spin coating of Zirconia. The sintering of the layer is observed using a number of different measuring techniques.

Sintering Behavior of LZS Glass-Ceramics

Materials Science Forum, 2012
Sintering and crystallization behaviors of a LZS glass-powder were investigated by means of thermal shrinkage, differential thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction as well as density and mechanical properties measurements. The melted glass, 9.56Li2O.22.36ZrO2.68.08SiO2 (wt%) first was cast into water to provide a frit for milling.
