Effects of Fe3P Addition on Sintering Behaviors and Magnetic Properties of Fe-P Alloys Sintered at Low Temperatures

open access: yesMetals, 2019
In this paper, we demonstrate that trace amounts of P addition can activate the sintering of carbonyl powder and influence the magnetic properties of the sintered materials. Fe-x P (x = 0, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, 1.2, 1.4, and 1.6 wt.%) samples were fabricated by

The sintering behavior of close-packed spheres

open access: yesScripta Materialia, 2012
The sintering behavior of close packed spheres is investigated using a numerical model. The investigated systems are the body centered cubic (BCC), face centered cubic (FCC) and hexagonal closed packed spheres (HCP). The sintering behavior is found to be ideal with no grain growth until full density is reached for all systems.

Preparation of hollow fiber membranes from mullite particles with aid of sintering additives

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Ceramics, 2020
Porous mullite hollow fiber membranes were prepared with a combined phase-inversion and sintering method, using three sintering additives including yttrium stabilized zirconia (YSZ), small mullite particles (SMP), and titanium oxide (TiO2) to promote the

Sintering Behavior of Kaolin with Calcite

open access: yesProcedia Engineering, 2013
AbstractThe study of sintering behavior of clay raw materials might be difficult because, as it is well known, these clays have a complex mineralogical composition, which causes a series of phase transformations occurring during sintering. Those processes relate to major and minor clay minerals (such as phyllosilicates, quartz, calcite, dolomite and ...

Effect of Starch on Sintering Behavior for Fabricating Porous Cordierite Ceramic

open access: yesHigh Temperature Materials and Processes, 2016
Porous cordierite ceramics were prepared with starch as pore-forming agent by solid-state method. The green bodies were sintered at 1,100–1,400 °C for 2 h.

Sintering behavior of alumina by microwave hybrid sintering

open access: yesCeramist
Microwave sintering is considered an ideal sintering process due to its rapid heating rate, low energy consumption, and uniform temperature distribution between the interior and surface. However, the difficulty of using a dilatometer and the lack of systematic research have hindered the investigation of activation energy and grain growth kinetics ...
