In Situ Photopolymerization of Smectic B Liquid‐Crystalline Electrolytes from Mesogenic Phosphate–Diacrylate/Ionic Liquid Complexes for High‐Performance Soft Ionic Actuators

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A flexible liquid‐crystalline electrolyte membrane via in situ photopolymerization of a phosphate‐functionalized mesogen, ionic liquid, and diacrylate monomer is developed. The resulting smectic B (SmB)‐phase structure enables 2D ion transport with high conductivity (10−4 S cm−1).

DNA Barcoding for Managing Blackberry Genetic Resources on Black Sea Coast (Russia)

open access: yesDiversity
Accurate species identification in blackberries (Rubus spp.) is difficult because of morphological similarity and frequent hybridization. We studied 56 wild accessions from the Sirius Federal Territory (Russia), representing coastal and foothill ...

Changes in Thresholds of Electrically Evoked Phosphene and Electrical Lability of the Optic Nerve in the Ground Station Crew in the International Experiment SIRIUS 20/21

open access: yesOftalʹmologiâ, 2023
In the ground sealed station crew, during the 8 months international experiment SIRIUS 20/21 simulating an interplanetary flight, electrically induced phosphene (EIP) thresholds, which reflected the electrical sensitivity (ES) of the retina, and the ...

Liver Endothelia Orchestrate MASH‐Associated Macrophage Zonation Through FSTL1‐ITGA4 Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Liver inflammation in MASH fundamentally hinges on the newly defined Kit/STAT2/FSTL1/ITGA4 axis. Declining endothelial Kit collapses normal hepatic zonation, driving an aberrant FSTL1 gradient that recruits pathogenic macrophages. Strikingly, targeting FSTL1‐ITGA4 with anti‐VLA4 restores spatial immune homeostasis and halts disease progression ...

Development of a Multiplexed Fluorescent Pseudovirus Neutralization Test for Simultaneous Assessment of Immunity to Three SARS-CoV-2 Variants

open access: yesImmuno
In the post-pandemic era, monitoring adaptive immunity of the population to emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants remains an important public health priority. To address this need, we developed a test that can simultaneously assess the neutralization ability of ...

Multifactorial Imaging Analysis as a Platform for Studying Cellular Senescence Phenotypes

open access: yesJournal of Imaging
Cellular senescence is a heterogeneous and dynamic state characterised by stable proliferation arrest, macromolecular damage and metabolic remodelling. Although markers such as SA-β-galactosidase staining, yH2AX foci and p53 activation are widely used as

Biomimetic Gradient Hydrogels Regulate Osteochondral Regeneration Microenvironment Remodeling via Spatiotemporal Programming Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Electric field‑driven continuous gradient hydrogel GHZF4 achieves spatiotemporal growth factor release, modulates immune microenvironment, angiogenesis and osteochondral differentiation. It realizes cell‑free functional osteochondral repair in rat/rabbit models, offering a promising biomimetic strategy for gradient tissue regeneration.

Gut microbiota–derived short‐chain fatty acids regulate group 3 innate lymphoid cells in HCC

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Abstract Background and Aims Type 3 innate lymphoid cells (ILC3s) are essential for host defense against infection and tissue homeostasis. However, their role in the development of HCC has not been adequately confirmed. In this study, we investigated the immunomodulatory role of short‐chain fatty acids (SCFAs) derived from intestinal microbiota in ILC3
