A six-phase series-connected two-motor drive with decoupled dynamic control supplied by a three-level six-phase inverter

open access: yesRevue des Énergies Renouvelables, 2018
This paper presents independent vector control of six-phase two-motor drive machine series-connected fed by a three-level six-phase inverter. Via appropriate phase transposition during the series connection of the stator windings, the fully decoupled ...

Fault-Tolerant Control Strategy with Asymmetric Phase Currents for Single to Four-Phase Open-Circuit Faults of Six-Phase PMSM

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
Multi-phase motors and generators are regarded with great fault tolerance capability, especially on open-circuit faults. Various mathematics analytical methods are applied for their fault control.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Model Predictive Control Based on Dynamic Voltage Vectors for Six-Phase Induction Machines

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics, 2021
Model predictive control (MPC) has been recently suggested as an interesting alternative for the regulation of multiphase electric drives because it easily exploits the inherent advantages of multiphase machines. However, the standard MPC applies a single switching state during the whole sampling period, inevitably leading to an undesired xy voltage ...

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Sequential Model Predictive Torque Control for Six-Phase Machines Without Weighting Factors

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Power Electronics
Model predictive control has become a powerful and versatile control strategy, particularly effective in controlling multiphase machines. One of its key advantages is the ability to address multiple control objectives by incorporating constraints ...

Coupled Magnetic Field and Thermal Analysis Model for an IPMSM With Modular Three-Phase Winding Topologies for Fault-Tolerant Applications

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
Multi three-phase machines are frequently recommended for high current and high power applications due to their ability to minimize phase current while maintaining rated power and phase voltage.

Assessment of torque components in brushless permanent-magnet machines through numerical analysis of the electromagnetic field [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
For the calculation of torque in brushless (BL) alternating current motors a local method is proposed, based on the Maxwell stress theory and the filtered contributions due to the harmonics of the magnetic vector potential in the motor air gap.

Upscaling cassava processing machines and products in Liberia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Open Access JournalCassava is produced by more than 80% of farming households and is an important contributor to gross domestic product (GDP) in Liberia. It is therefore important to assess the status of cassava processing into food and other products. A

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.
