Ac Drive Systems Using Reduced Four-leg Converter Supplying Independently Two Induction Machines

open access: yesEletrônica de Potência, 2007
This paper presents six reduced switch count ac drive systems. These configurations have been conceived to operate with a four-phase and a three-phase or with a four-phase and a two-phase induction machines in a series-connected scheme.

Speed Estimation of Six-Phase Induction Motors, Using the Rotor Slot Harmonics

open access: yesSensors, 2022
Multiphase machines have recently been promoted as a viable alternative to traditional three-phase machines. Most experts are looking for strategies to estimate the rotation speed of such complex systems, since speed data are required for high ...

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

Low cogging torque design and simplified model-free predictive current control for radial-flux dual three-phase permanent magnet electric machines

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2019
This study presents two improved designs of eccentric-shaped permanent magnets and teeth-shaped stators in radial-flux dual three-phase permanent magnet electric machines to reduce cogging torque and torque ripple.

A back to back multilevel converter for driving low inductance brushless AC machines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Traditionally, multilevel converters are utilised in medium voltage applications, allowing the DC-link voltage to exceed the switch maximum blocking voltage.

Risk Prediction Models for Recurrence After Curative Treatment of Early‐Stage or Locally Advanced Lung Cancer: A Systematic Review

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
This systematic review synthesizes prognostic models for survival and recurrence in resected non‐small cell lung cancer. While many models demonstrate moderate to good discrimination, few are externally validated and reporting quality is variable, limiting clinical applicability and highlighting the need for robust, transparent model development ...

Increasing seatbelt usage in logging skidders through behaviour modification and seatbelt design : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Psychology at Massey University [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
This study examined methods for increasing seatbelt usage in one type of heavy logging machine (the skidder). This machine is used extensively for extracting felled trees and transporting them from where they are cut down to a central processing area ...

Predicting Epileptogenic Tubers in Patients With Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Using a Fusion Model Integrating Lesion Network Mapping and Machine Learning

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Accurate localization of epileptogenic tubers (ETs) in patients with tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) is essential but challenging, as these tubers lack distinct pathological or genetic markers to differentiate them from other cortical tubers.
