The First Negative Moment of Skew-tand Generalized Student'st-Distributions in the Principal Value Sense [PDF]
The (Cauchy) principal value is a method for assigning values to certain improper integrals which would otherwise be undefined. Using the principal value sense, this study derives an explicit expression of the first negative moment of skew-tand generalized Student'st-distributions for practical applications.

In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Renyi Entropy Derivation for a Modified Skewed Student-t Distribution
This paper derives the Renyi entropy for a modified Skew Student-t distribution (SStD). The skew Student-t distribution was modified using DUS transformation technique. The final expression of the Renyi entropy was derived using the probability density function of the transformed (SStD).

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

A Comparative APARCH Volatility Study of International Markets
This paper compares the daily return volatility by four leading international indices: JSE Top 40, FTSE 100, Nikkei 225 and S&P/ASX 200. The return series are modelled in ARMA process, where ARMA(1,3) values are taken for JSE Top 40 and S&P/ASX 200, ARMA(

ABSTRACT Objective In multiple sclerosis, the optimal time for deploying a therapeutic intervention is before the central nervous system is damaged; given the success of trials treating the earliest stage of MS, the radiologically isolated syndrome, developing primary prevention strategies is an important next challenge.

Bayesian Inference General Procedures for A Single-subject Test study
Abnormality detection in identifying a single-subject which deviates from the majority of a control group dataset is a fundamental problem. Typically, the control group is characterised using standard Normal statistics, and the detection of a single ...

Epigenetic reprogramming in hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) and downstream myeloid cells, mediated by H3.3 downregulation and endogenous retroelement (ERE) overexpression, contributes to the progression of multiple sclerosis (MS). ABSTRACT Background Skewed myelopoiesis in the bone marrow has been identified as a key driver of multiple ...

Financial Data and the Skewed Generalized T Distribution
This paper develops a skewed extension of the generalized t (GT) distribution, introduced by McDonald and Newey (1988). In particular, the paper derives the mathematical moments and other properties of the distribution and assesses its ability to fit the
