Mesenchymal Stem Cells‐Derived Extracellular Vesicles Mimetics as Osteoinductive Mediators for Bone Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Mesenchymal stem cell‐derived nanoghosts (MSC‐NGs) mimic naturally secreted extracellular vesicles (MSC‐EVs) in structure and physicochemical properties but can be synthesized at more translatable yields. As osteogenic agents, MSC‐NGs demonstrate superior outcomes compared to MSC‐EVs.

Risk of Superficial Fungal Infections in WHIM Syndrome

open access: yesDermatology and Therapy
Introduction WHIM syndrome is a rare autosomal dominant inborn error of immunity caused by gain-of-function mutations in the chemokine receptor CXCR4. Patients with WHIM syndrome frequently suffer from an increased risk for bacterial and viral infections,

Inferring Skin-Brain-Skin Connections from Infodemiology Data using Dynamic Bayesian Networks [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports (2024), 14, 10266
The relationship between skin diseases and mental illnesses has been extensively studied using cross-sectional epidemiological data. Typically, such data can only measure association (rather than causation) and include only a subset of the diseases we may be interested in.
