Self‐Assembling Copolymers Encapsulating Single Endothelial Cells Induce Endogenous ECM Deposition and Vascular Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents the first demonstration of stable sub‐50‐micron single‐cell GPM vesicles fabricated through the intrinsic self‐assembly of an amphiphilic copolymer. Hierarchical assembly of cell containing GPM vesicles into microspheres enable tunable, sustained cell delivery with immune protection.

Clinical Outcome of Autologous Serum Therapy in Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria

open access: yesJournal of Nepal Health Research Council, 2017
Background: Quality of life in chronic idiopathic urticaria is hampered as efficacy of H1-antihistamines is limited. Autologous serum containing tolerance-generating anti-idiotype antibodies is a novel and cost-effective therapy.

Soft and Transient Bioelectronics Enabled by Polymer‐Free Ti3C2Tx MXene Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We present Ti3C2Tx MXene hydrogel (MXgel) bioelectronics, a soft, flexible, and fully transient platform for high‐fidelity neural recording and stimulation. MXgel bioelectronics exhibit exceptional electrical conductivities, low electrochemical impedances, and high charge injection capacities.

Two-spotted Spider Mite as a Factor for Occupational Asthma in Nonfarmer Apple-packing Workers

open access: yesSafety and Health at Work
Few cases of asthma caused by the two-spotted spider mite (TSM) have been reported among nonfarmer apple-packing workers. This study investigated whether allergic sensitization due to the TSM occurs in workers at the Agricultural Products Processing ...

A Case of Anaphylaxis due to Salmon Roe Diagnosed by Skin Prick Test

open access: yesTokyo Women's Medical University Journal, 2020
In recent years, salmon roe allergies have become common among young children. Conventionally, the diagnosis of a salmon roe allergy has been confirmed by a positive specific immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibody test.

Skin‐Like Tri‐Modal Sensors Based on Soft Piezoelectric and Ionic Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Inspired by the multimodal perception of human skin, a soft, skin‐like tri‐modal sensor is presented. The device incorporates an ionically conductive, piezoelectric, elastic composite as its active layer, enabling independent detection of temperature, static strain, and dynamic strain within a single two‐terminal architecture.

Deep‐Tissue Light Generation via Whispering Gallery Mode Lasing From a Commercial Nylon Fiber for Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A dyed nylon fiber is implemented inside the scattering phantom and skin tissue. The deep‐tissue light generation via whispering gallery mode lasing is demonstrated, achieving a depth of >50 times transport mean free path in scattering phantom and 3 mm beneath skin.
