A Guide to Stochastic Loewner Evolution and its Applications

open access: yes, 2004
This article is meant to serve as a guide to recent developments in the study of the scaling limit of critical models. These new developments were made possible through the definition of the Stochastic Loewner Evolution (SLE) by Oded Schramm.

Hydroxychloroquine Associated With Lower Glomerular Filtration Rate Decline in Lupus Nephritis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) protects kidney function in lupus nephritis (LN) by preventing flares, yet some cohort studies show no significant benefit in kidney function with HCQ. Clarifying these conflicting findings by showing early and long‐term benefits of HCQ on kidney function preservation is critical.

Clinical features and antinuclear antibodies profile among adults with systemic lupus erythematosus and lupus nephritis: a cross-sectional study

open access: yesThe Pan African Medical Journal, 2017
INTRODUCTION: Limited data is available regarding the clinical manifestations and pattern of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) in Sudan. This study aimed to determine the clinical manifestations and Antinuclear Antibodies (ANA) profile among Sudanese ...

Stationarity of SLE

open access: yes, 2009
A new method to study a stopped hull of SLE(kappa, rho) is presented. In this approach, the law of the conformal map associated to the hull is invariant under a SLE induced flow.

Low-Density Granulocytes Are a Novel Immunopathological Feature in Both Multiple Sclerosis and Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Objective: To investigate whether low-density granulocytes (LDGs) are an immunophenotypic feature of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) or neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD).

Osteonecrosis in SLE [PDF]

open access: yesRheumatology International, 2011
To the Editor,Sayarlioglu et al. note that osteonecrosis (ON) in patientswith SLE is associated with higher doses of corticosteroids(CS) administered within 4 months as well as with totalcumulative dose [1]. The records of 868 patients with SLEfrom four centers were reviewed.

Identifying High‐Impact Solutions to Address Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities in Lupus: A Consensus‐Based Approach

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We conducted formative research aimed at identifying solutions that address inequitable health outcomes in lupus due to adverse social determinants of health (SDoH). Methods We conducted a search for keywords, which provided insights into potential solutions and initiatives underway. An advisory panel of lupus experts iteratively reviewed the

Ergodicity of the tip of an SLE curve [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We first prove that, for $\kappa\in(0,4)$, a whole-plane SLE$(\kappa;\kappa+2)$ trace stopped at a fixed capacity time satisfies reversibility. We then use this reversibility result to prove that, for $\kappa\in(0,4)$, a chordal SLE$_\kappa$ curve ...

Prevalence, Determinants, and Outcomes of Low Disease Activity and Remission Attainment in Patients With Systemic Lupus Erythematosus That Is Clinically Active

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective This study aimed to identify in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) with clinically active disease the attainment of frequency and determinants of Lupus Low Disease Activity State (LLDAS) and Definition of Remission in SLE (DORIS) and the frequency and determinants of flare and damage accrual after target attainment.

Alterations in B cell development, CDR-H3 repertoire and dsDNA-binding antibody production among C57BL/6 ΔD−iD mice congenic for the lupus susceptibility loci sle1, sle2 or sle3

open access: yesAutoimmunity, 2017
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease that reflects a failure to block the production of self-reactive antibodies, especially those that bind double-stranded DNA (dsDNA).
