Noise-Robust SLIC Superpixel for Natural Images
2016 7th International Conference on Cloud Computing and Big Data (CCBD), 2016Superpixel algorithm aims to semantically group neighboring pixels into a coherent region. It could significantly boost the performance of the subsequent vision processing task such as image segmentation. Recently, the work simple linear iterative clustering (SLIC) [1] has drawn huge attention for its state-of-the-art segmentation performance and high ...

Canny SLIC to Compute Content-Sensitive Superpixels
2018 IEEE International Conference on Internet of Things (iThings) and IEEE Green Computing and Communications (GreenCom) and IEEE Cyber, Physical and Social Computing (CPSCom) and IEEE Smart Data (SmartData), 2018Superpixel segmentation is becoming a ubiquitous initial preprocessing step in computer vision applications. It is important that the resulting superpixels preserve image boundaries. The simple linear iterative clustering (SLIC) algorithm is a popular method for superpixel segmentation.

SLIC-a simulator for linear integrated circuits
IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 1971A computer program for the simulation of linear integrated circuits (SLIC) is described. The program formulates and solves nonlinear equations for d.c. node voltages and transistor operating points; generates linearized small-signal circuit models; and solves for the poles, zeros, frequency response, and noise response of specified transfer functions ...

SLIC: A Method for Sequence- and Ligation-Independent Cloning
2012We describe here a method for sequence- and ligation-independent cloning (SLIC). SLIC uses an exonuclease, T4 DNA polymerase, to generate single-stranded DNA overhangs in insert and vector sequences. These fragments are then assembled in vitro and transformed into Escherichia coli to generate recombinant DNA of interest.

The texture in a human iris has been shown to have good individual distinctiveness and thus is suitable for use in reliable identification. A conventional iris recognition system unwraps the iris image and generates a binary feature vector by quantizing the response of selected filters applied to the rows of this image.

A note on the mathematical basis of the SLIC index
Journal of the American Society for Information Science, 1971AbstractIt has been shown that the index entries generated by the SLIC technique constitute a lattice which is a subset of the power set of the set of descriptors assigned to a document and that this fact leads to an improved algorithm for generating SLIC entries.

A CMOS SLIC with an automatic balancing hybrid
IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 1983A CMOS subscriber line interface circuit (SLIC) that has an automatic balancing hybrid facility is presented. Some of the key system aspects of line interface circuits, such as the relation between zero-loss switching and an automatic balancing hybrid circuit, power dissipation in the line circuit, and foreign voltage protection are described first ...

SLIC (Simple Line Interface Calculation)
1976SLIC is an alternating-direction method for the geometric approximation of fluid interfaces. It may be used in one, two, or three space dimensions, and it is characterized by the following features: (1) Fluid surfaces are represented locally for each mixed- fluid zone, and these surfaces are defined as a composition of one space dimensional components,
