Anisotropic elasticity in confocal studies of colloidal crystals [PDF]
We consider the theory of fluctuations of a colloidal solid observed in a confocal slice. For a cubic crystal we study the evolution of the projected elastic properties as a function of the anisotropy of the crystal using numerical methods based on the ...

Dynamic Network Slice Scaling Assisted by Prediction in 5G Network
Network slicing is a key technology in fifth-generation (5G) mobile networks. Slicing divides a physical network into multiple dedicated logical networks to meet the requirements of diverse use cases. Efficient slice deployment algorithms are critical in

On the complexity of slice functions
By results of Razborov negations can be very powerful for Boolean circuits. But for the class of slice functions negations are almost powerless. Hence each hard function has a hard slice. Lower bounds on the monotone circuit complexity of slice functions imply lower bounds on the circuit complexity of these functions.

Lattice QCD$_2$ effective action with Bogoliubov transformations [PDF]
In the Wilson's lattice formulation of QCD, a fermionic Fock space of states can be explicitly built at each time slice using canonical creation and annihilation operators.

Generalized Partial-Slice Monogenic Functions: A Synthesis of Two Function Theories
In this paper, we review the notion of generalized partial-slice monogenic functions that was introduced by the authors in Xu and Sabadini (Generalized partial-slice monogenic functions, arXiv:2309.03698, 2023). The class of these functions includes both

Study on Vacuum Drying Characteristics and Model of Yam Slices
In order to explore the vacuum drying characteristics of yam slices, a drying model was established. Vacuum drying tests were carried out under different drying temperature (40, 50, 60, 70, 80 ℃), vacuum degree (0.03, 0.04, 0.05, 0.06, 0.07 MPa) and ...

Twistor interpretation of slice regular functions
Given a slice regular function $f:\Omega\subset\mathbb{H}\to \mathbb{H}$, with $\Omega\cap\mathbb{R}\neq \emptyset$, it is possible to lift it to a surface in the twistor space $\mathbb{CP}^{3}$ of $\mathbb{S}^4\simeq \mathbb{H}\cup \{\infty\}$ (see ...

Quasilocal Energy for a Kerr black hole [PDF]
The quasilocal energy associated with a constant stationary time slice of the Kerr spacetime is presented. The calculations are based on a recent proposal \cite{by} in which quasilocal energy is derived from the Hamiltonian of spatially bounded ...
