Synthesis of a slider-crank mechanism with consideration of dynamic effects
Journal of Mechanisms, 1970Abstract A method of dynamic synthesis of a slider-crank mechanism to meet specified velocity conditions at three design points including the inertia effects of the masses of the main links is presented. Velocity specifications are developed assuming a constant velocity of the input crank.

Unbalanced Inertia Forces in Slider-Crank Mechanisms of Large Eccentricity
Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1958Abstract An analysis of the various harmonic orders of the inertia forces in offset slider-crank mechanisms is presented. The formulas given here are valid for all practical values of eccentricity ratio (ratio of offset to length of connecting rod) and crank to connecting rod ratio.

2016One of the applications of slider-crank mechanisms is feeding systems whereby a constant pushingforce is required. The basic problem is that pushing force changes with crank positions in response toa weight applied at the crank-connecting link joint.
