[1‐(Ethoxycarbonyl)cyclopropyl] triphenylphosphonium tetrafluoroborate is a limiting key reagent for synthesis of the tricyclic 5,6‐dihydropyrimido[5,4‐e]indolizine and related scaffolds, which are central to First‐in‐Class covalent inhibitors of the protein kinase monopolar spindle 1/threonine tyrosine kinase (TTK).

Coupled Oscillators with Chemotaxis
A simple coupled oscillator system with chemotaxis is introduced to study morphogenesis of cellular slime molds. The model successfuly explains the migration of pseudoplasmodium which has been experimentally predicted to be lead by cells with higher ...

Quantifying Molecular Properties of Hexagonal Water Clusters
Standard quantum chemical calculations on large hexagonal water clusters allow us to analyze the fundamental properties of ice‐Ih. Computed geometrical structure, energies, and vibrational spectra are astonishingly close to experimental data without the introduction of any external empirical parameters.

ABSTRACT Creating, visualizing, and critiquing data are integral knowledge‐building practices within science, as well as many other fields. Yet data is often treated as neutral and value‐free, perpetuating narratives of science as a dispassionate discipline where data are merely extracted, repackaged, and distributed anew.

Information Transfer During Food Choice in the Slime Mold Physarum polycephalum
Throughout evolution, living systems have developed mechanisms to make adaptive decisions in the face of complex and changing environmental conditions. Most organisms make such decisions despite lacking a neural architecture.

ABSTRACT In this article I explore the case of the Mariana dam disaster in 2015 in Brazil seeking to contribute to reflections about the role of chemistry and chemistry education in environmental injustices. Drawing on stories about this disaster shared in the Dead River Podcast (2024), on wider literature and on other cases of environmental injustices

The plasmodial slime mold Physarum polycephalum exhibits strong, periodic flow of cytoplasm through the veins of its network. In the special case of mesoplasmodia, a newly described starvation-induced, shape-constant morphotype, this periodic endoplasm ...
