The perception of the position of an unseen limb: Investigation of the effect of thixotropic conditioning on drift and accuracy

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, Volume 110, Issue 10, Page 1447-1456, October 1, 2025.
Abstract Proprioceptive judgements can be divided into two broad categories: low‐level and high‐level. Low‐level judgements of limb position require a person to detect, discriminate or match the position of a body part, whereas high‐level judgements require a person to report the position of an unseen body part relative to the external world.

Danicamtiv increases cardiac mechanical efficiency

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, Volume 603, Issue 19, Page 5509-5528, October 1, 2025.
Abstract figure legend We studied intact cardiac muscles, contracting within our experimental device. We subjected each muscle in the device to perform force–length work‐loop contractions – contraction patterns that replicate the pressure–volume loop of the intact heart. From these contractions, we assessed muscle mechanoenergetic performance including
