Engineered Protein‐Based Ionic Conductors for Sustainable Energy Storage Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Rational incorporation of charged residues into an engineered, self‐assembling protein scaffold yields solid‐state protein films with outstanding ionic conductivity. Salt‐doping further enhances conductivity, an effect amplified in the engineered variants. These properties enable the material integration into an efficient supercapacitor.

CSSMA: A novel algorithm of slime mold optimzer for global optimization problems

open access: yes, 2023
Abstract The Slime Mold Algorithm (SMA) is a popular optimization algorithm in recent years. However, it suffers from weaknesses in exploration capability, insufficient balance, and a tendency to get trapped in local optima. To address these issues, this paper proposes a novel Slime Mold Algorithm based on Cosine Similarity and Population Range

Continual decision‐making dynamics across biological organisms

open access: yesBiological Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Decision‐making is a central function of adaptive behaviour in biological agents. However, strategies for adaptive decision‐making can vary substantially across species. Here, we aim to extend the comparative scope of decision‐making analyses to phylogenetically diverse organisms.

How Are Skills Changing with Digital Technologies? Clarifying Boundary Conditions in Management Research

open access: yesJournal of Management Studies, EarlyView.
Abstract This article contributes to discussions about the future of work by providing a systematic review of the broad yet fragmented management literature on how skills are changing with digital technologies (DTs). Our aim was to understand the nature of scholarly engagement with this relationship to inform a future research agenda.

Mortality, morbidity, and occupational decline

open access: yesThe Scandinavian Journal of Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Is long‐term economic stress from occupational decline linked to poor health or death? Using Swedish administrative data matched with US occupational trends, I examine this in reduced form and using instrumental variables. Workers who in 1985 worked in occupations that subsequently declined unexpectedly were more likely to die early than ...

Beyond the Adult Mind: A Developmental Framework for Predictive Processing in Infancy

open access: yesTopics in Cognitive Science, EarlyView.
Abstract Predictive Processing has been proposed as the single unifying computation underlying all of cognition, and proponents argue that all psychological phenomena can be explained as consequences of this principle. This theoretical framework has inspired many cognitive scientists and neuroscientists, but it currently has no developmental mechanism ...
