Compact Self-Quadruplexing SIW Cavity-Backed Slot Antenna

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2019
This communication presents a compact self-quadruplexing substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity-backed slot antenna for quad-band communication services. The proposed antenna uses four V-shape slots of different lengths for radiation.

Slot-wedge antenna

2010 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2010
The impedance of an open slot antenna at its second resonance has a wider bandwidth than at the ubiquitous first resonance (half wavelength) configurations [1]-[4]. When the supporting groundplane size is small (less than a square wavelength), the wideband nature can be retained [4], but the pattern changes owing to the diffractions from the edges of ...

Dualband DRA-slot hybrid slot antenna

2007 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2007
A dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is placed on top of a slotted cavity to form a hybrid antenna. An L-probe is placed inside the cavity to feed the zonal slot, cut onto the cavity, and the DRA simultaneously. Ansoft HFSS was used to analyze the proposed hybrid antenna, which provides a dual-band operation.

Slit-Slot Line and Its Application to Low Cross-Polarization Slot Antenna and Mutual-Coupling Suppressed Tripolarized MIMO Antenna

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2019
A slit-slot transmission line is devised, investigated, and applied to a slit-slot antenna and a co-located tripolarized slit-slot antenna array for 2.45 GHz multipolarization multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) applications. The slit-slot transmission line,

Endfire slot antennas

IRE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1955
The conditions for endfire radiation from a traveling-wave slot are discussed. These are that the phase velocity of the traveling wave be equal to or less than the velocity of light in free space and that the aperture be excited with a strong longitudinal component of electric field.

A Compact Wideband Flexible Implantable Slot Antenna Design With Enhanced Gain

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2018
In this communication, a coplanar waveguide-fed, compact, wideband dual-ring slot antenna for biomedical applications in the Industrial, Scientific and Medical frequency band is presented. This implantable antenna is designed using thin and biocompatible

Wide Band Slot Antenna

33rd European Microwave Conference, 2003, 2003
A cavity-backed slot antenna is proposed. The antenna is theoretically and experimentally studied. The antenna consists of a slot cut in a ground plane and backed by shorting strips, forming a backing cavity. Experimental studies of the antenna show a 2:1 VSWR input impedance bandwidth of more than 20%.

Annular slot windshield antenna

IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 1998
This paper discusses the development of a conformal automobile antenna for the AM/FM band. It is implemented by using a heat reduction metal film imbedded in the windshield to create an annular gap or slot at the circumference. Impedance characteristics and gain patterns are shown. The antenna system is effective, inexpensive and invisible.
