Wideband textile slot antennas have been developed with high precision. The antennas are composed of three textile layers: the top and bottom are conducting layers and are precisely defined by a laser cutting machine, while the third layer is a textile dielectric layer and sandwiched between these two conducting layers.

Planar Slot-Array Antenna

Planar antennas employing printed circuit techniques are ideally suited for aircraft, spacecraft and mobile-land applications. Keeping these in view, a 12×4-element planar array antenna has been developed. The antenna has a power gain of 19 dB. It has a half power beamwidth of 6° in the H-plane and 20° in the E-plane.

A waveguide slot array antenna with corner reflector array of high performance for a microwave radar system at 10 GHz frequency band is presented. The waveguide, the slot array and the corner reflector array are located together on the cover plate of the antenna, which makes the antenna highly efficient.

Low profile tapered slot array antenna

The paper presents a new design of a wideband low profile tapered slot array antenna. To achieve a low profile, a novel low-profile balun with a pair of cavities was invented. The new balun allows a planar power divider to be tightly integrated with array. The overall depth of the array is about 0.48λ at the lowest operating frequency.

Design of a Slot Antenna Array Using Array-antenna Decoupling Surface

A decoupling method for a slot antenna array is proposed in this paper. The array-antenna decoupling surface (ADS), which consists of partial reflection metal patches, is designed to reduce the mutual coupling among antenna elements. A prototype of a four elements slot antenna array using ADS is demonstrated.

Coaxially Fed Annular Slot Array Antenna

Radiation from a cavity-backed annular slot array antenna fed by a coaxial probe is studied. The Hankel transform and mode-matching techniques are utilized to obtain a solution in convergent series. A prototype antenna was fabricated and its characteristics were measured at C-band to verify the accuracy of our approach.
