TAMNet: Temporal and adaptive‐frequency network with MixStyle for cross‐region oil and fluid production forecasting

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
This paper presents temporal and adaptive‐frequency network with MixStyle (TAMNet), a deep time‐series modeling framework for accurate and robust multi‐well oil productivity forecasting. TAMNet integrates transformer and long short‐term memory architectures to capture both short‐ and long‐term temporal dependencies, enhanced by a temporal gate unit ...

Earthquake-driven acceleration of slow-moving landslides in the Colca valley, Peru, detected from Pleiades images

open access: yes, 2015
Major earthquakes in mountainous areas often trigger rapid landslides. Some observations also suggest that earthquakes can damage landslide prone areas or cause slow-moving landslides to accelerate, with a risk of evolution to rapid landslides in the ...

Understanding the role of slow slip events in the Cascadia earthquake cycle

open access: yes, 2020
The idealized earthquake cycle is characterized by strain accumulation during the interseismic period and its episodic release by the occurrence of earthquakes. The Cascadia Subduction Zone has not produced a megathrust earthquake since 1700.

Investigation on the failure evolution characteristics of surrounding rock in deep cross‐fault roadway: Based on physical model test and numerical simulation

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
This study reveals the failure evolution characteristics of deep cross‐fault roadway surrounding rock under excavation support and periodic weighting. Periodic weighting readily induces fault activation, with the spatial distribution of failed rock masses being controlled by the fault strike and dip.

Integrated numerical simulation and source‐sink matching methodology for Basin‐Wide CO2 storage assessment in depleted reservoirs: A Cambay Basin case study

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
This study presents an integrated workflow to evaluate secure and large‐scale CO2 storage in depleted oil reservoirs of the Cambay Basin, India. Industrial CO2 sources are systematically matched with mature oil fields using a quantitative source–sink framework to minimize transport distance and cost.

Spatial and temporal variations of the 3-year earthquake swarm activities leading up to the M7.6 Noto Peninsula earthquake and interpretations of their activities

open access: yesEarth, Planets and Space
The seismic swarm activity that began and expanded in four separate regions in the northern Noto Peninsula at the end of 2020 was followed by the M6.5 earthquake in May 2023, which cascaded into the M7.6 earthquake on New Year’s Day 2024.

The outcomes of electronic personal health records in patients with heart failure or coronary artery disease

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 1464-1468, April 2025.
Abstract Background There are limited data on the efficacy of smartphone‐based personal health records (PHRs) in patients with cardiovascular disease. This study aimed to examine the processes, outcomes and challenges associated with the implementation of integrated PHRs in patients with heart failure (HF) or coronary artery disease (CAD). Methods This

The EU's Strategy for Sustainability: A Landmark Turn With the European Green Deal?

open access: yesEuropean Policy Analysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT While the European Green Deal (EGD) has been widely recognized as a milestone in the EU's sustainability strategy, scholars disagree on the nature of the policy change it represents. Critics highlight its limited social and environmental ambitions, despite its portrayal as a “man on the moon” moment.
