A Brownian walk model for slow earthquakes [PDF]
Along some subduction plate boundaries, slow deformation is observable as seismically detected deep low‐frequency tremor and geodetically detected slow slip events. These phenomena are considered as different manifestations of slow earthquakes characterized by fairly constant seismic moment rate.

Aluminum‐enhanced afterburning renders AE explosives more hazardous than conventional ones. Corrugated steel linings reduce far‐field AE blast overpressure by ~50% through wave reflection and dissipation. The developed model accurately predicts peak pressure (<10% error) and arrival time (<3% error), supporting protective design.
