DEL‐1 is an Endogenous Senolytic Protein that Inhibits Senescence‐Associated Bone Loss
Senescent bone marrow stromal cells accumulate in the aging bone microenvironment, promoting bone degeneration. DEL‐1, an endogenous secreted protein, acts as a natural senolytic that selectively eliminates these cells. By engaging a β3 integrin/CD73/adenosine/p38 MAPK/BCL‐2 pathway, DEL‐1 counters aging‐related bone loss, revealing promising ...

This study harnesses hydrodynamic flows to generate, confine and stimulate stem cell spheroids, enabling the large‐scale production of extracellular vesicles (EVs). This innovative method not only streamlines spheroid formation and subsequent EV release in a single, integrated process, but also ensures the generation of EVs with enhanced biological ...

This study investigates the role of M2 macrophage‐derived extracellular vesicles (M2 EVs) in prostate cancer (PCa) metastasis. Mechanistically, M2 EVs horizontally transfer TXNDC5 mRNA to PCa cells, where the molecule induces the mesenchymal‐like state (MLS), enhancing PCa migration and invasion.

Sensing disks for slug-type calorimeters have higher temperature stability [PDF]
Graphite sensing disk for slug-type radiation calorimeters exhibits better performance at high temperatures than copper and nickel disks. The graphite is heat-soaked to stabilize its emittance and the thermocouple is protected from the graphite so ...

A molecular defect‐mediated charge accumulation strategy is developed to regulate the exciton behavior for selective molecular oxygen (O2)activation in poly(1,3,5‐triethynylbenzene) (PTEB). Artificial internal electric field (IEF) constructed in defective PTEB provides internal driving force to steer the directed migration of charge carriers, thereby ...

Rigid Hollow Microparticles for Enhanced Focused Ultrasound Treatment Under Optoacoustic Guidance
By combining focused ultrasound (FUS) and acoustically active hollow borosilicate microparticles (HBMPs), we demonstrate tunable control over interparticle dynamics and their localized thermal energy deposition. Modulation of acoustic frequency and particle concentration tailors the energy delivery, allowing adaptive, material‐based regulation of ...

Mass shedding rate of an isolated high-speed slug propagating in a pipeline
An isolated liquid slug in the pipeline can accelerate and achieve a high speed when subjected to a driving pressure. During the slug’s high-speed movement in a pipeline, part of the liquid will shed from it resulting in changes in the slug’s mass and ...
