Small signal modeling of the MOSOS capacitor
IEEE SOS/SOI Technology Conference, 2003Summary form only given. The high-frequency small-signal sinusoidal steady-state response of the 2-terminal MOSOS (metal-oxide-silicon-oxide-silicon) capacitor is solved numerically using perturbation analysis of the basic semiconductor equations. The model includes the effects of a floating semiconductor region, interface traps and nonuniform doping ...

Small signal modeling of wind farms
2017 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE), 2017In large power electronic systems like a wind farm, the mutual interactions between the control systems of the power converters can lead to various stability and power quality problems. In order to predict the system dynamic behavior, this paper presents an approach to model a wind farm as a Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) dynamic system, where the ...

Small-Signal Modeling for Phase-Shift Controlled Resonant Converters
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2021The extended describing function (EDF) method is widely used in modeling the resonant converters. This article finds that the model of the phase-shift controlled resonant converter deduced by this method might be inaccurate especially when the duty-cycle is close to 1. The reason behind it is investigated, showing that derivation of the inverter bridge

Small-signal nonlinear modeling of television IOTs
IEEE Transactions on Broadcasting, 2002The inductive output tube (IOT) is a high power vacuum tube amplifier popularly used in UHF television broadcasting. A small-signal nonlinear model is presented for the IOT. Several simplifying assumptions are made to make the proposed model more tractable mathematically. Component values are then assigned to this simplified model based on measured IOT

Small-signal modeling of graphene barristors
Physica E: Low-dimensional Systems and Nanostructures, 2015Abstract This paper presents a small-signal model for graphene barristor, a promising device for the future nanoelectronics industry. Because of the functional similarities to the conventional FET transistors, the same configuration and parameters, as those of FETs, are assumed for the model.

Small-signal modeling of HVDC systems
2020In this chapter, how the current control loop and the outer loops that feed to it can be analyzed via small-signal modeling was shown. Thereby, an input-admittance matrix is formed, which characterizes the behavior of the VSC-HVDC terminal as seen from the PCC. This matrix is operating-point dependent. By modeling the grid impedance as a matrix as well,

Graphical small-signal modeling based on the inductor waveform
IECON 2012 - 38th Annual Conference on IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2012A graphical small-signal modeling based on the inductor waveform is presented in this paper. Small-signal perturbation is superimposed on the large-signal inductor waveform under steady-state condition and then the output voltage variation from small-signal perturbation is calculated by equivalent circuit.

Small signal modeling of illuminated MOSFET for RF application
Proceedings of the International Conference & Workshop on Emerging Trends in Technology, 2011Recent development in the device technology has led to the potential research in the area of optical characterization of FET devices. It is mainly because of the high gain, speed, power handling capacity and high packing density of IC viz. OEIC, MMIC, VLSI, etc.

Small Signal Model Averaging of Bi-Directional Converter
2018 IEEE International Conference on Electro/Information Technology (EIT), 2018We consider the problem of modeling a bi-directional AC/DC converter using a small signal approach coupled with cycle averaging to simplify the model for use in digitized control. Small power sources (≤ 1000W) tend to have more abrupt transient power flow due to the associated characteristic low inertia. This is prevalent in small wind turbine systems.
