Dimerization of small GTPase Rab5

International Journal of Molecular Medicine, 2001
Rab proteins are small GTPases, localized to distinct cellular compartments, regulating specific steps of intracellular membrane trafficking. One member of the Rab family, Rab5, consists of three isoforms, Rab5a, Rab5b, and Rab5c, which have been shown to play an important role in early events of endocytosis.

Small GTPases in vesicle trafficking

Current Opinion in Plant Biology, 2004
Plant small GTPases belonging to the Rop, Arf, and Rab families are regulators of vesicle trafficking. Rop GTPases regulate actin dynamics and modulate H(2)O(2) production in polar cell growth and pathogen defence. A candidate Rop GDP to Rop GTP exchange factor (RopGEF) SPIKE1 is involved in the morphogenesis of leaf epidermal cells.

Arrestin Regulation of Small GTPases

2013
The regulation of small GTPases by arrestins is a relatively new way by which arrestin can exert influence over cell signalling cascades, hence, molecular interactions and specific binding partners are still being discovered. A pathway showcasing the regulation of GTPase activity by β-arrestin was first elucidated in 2001.

Cell adhesion and Rho small GTPases

Journal of Cell Science, 1999
ABSTRACT The Rho small GTPases, Cdc42, Rac1 and Rho, are implicated in regulation of integrin-mediated cell- substratum adhesion and cadherin-mediated cell-cell adhesion. Identification and characterization of effectors of these GTPases have provided insights into their modes of action. Rho-kinase, an effector of Rho, regulates integrin-
