Degradation Pathways of Silicon‐Based Anodes in Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Silicon‐based anodes undergo degradation through five primary pathways: (1) mechanical and structural deterioration of the active material, (2) loss of electrode integrity and electrical contact, (3) mechanical instability of the solid electrolyte interphase (SEI), characterized by repetitive fracture and deformation, (4) chemical instability of the ...

Analysis the effect of handling facilities on the quality of fishes landed at fish auction market

open access: yesDepik Jurnal
Research related to the influence of facilities on the quality of fish landed and auctioned has been done previously, but the catches under this study are still limited to large pelagic fish with complex fish auction facilities.

Diet of kingfish (Scomberomorus commerson) in Iranian coastal waters of Persian Gulf and Oman Sea [PDF]

open access: yesبوم‌شناسی آبزیان, 2016
Diet of kingfish was examined in the Iranian coastal waters in the Persian Gulf and Oman Sea during the year 2005-08. With the examination of 1655 kingfish stomachs caught by drifting gillnets, it was revealed that this species fed three groups of preys ...

The humble sardine (small pelagics): fish as food or fodder [PDF]

open access: yesAgriculture & Food Security, 2016
The group of small pelagic fish is the largest species group landed globally. A significant proportion of this nutrient-rich food is processed and lost to livestock feed, fish feed, fish oil, pet food and omega-rich vitamins. The nutritional importance of small pelagics as an easily digestible protein source, rich in essential lipids with fatty acids ...

Alcohol‐Adduct Mediated Precursor Stabilization Strategies for Conformal SnO2 Layers in Highly Efficient and Stable Perovskite Solar Modules

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
An alcohol‐adduct‐mediated strategy is employed to stabilize tin isopropoxide for the formation of a homogeneous double electron transport layer (ETL) incorporating SnO2 nanoparticles (NPs). This double‐ETL exhibits improved optical and charge‐transport properties due to reduced defect density and better energy level alignment, resulting in high ...

Fish quality jeopardises the French small pelagic social-ecological system

open access: yesAquatic Living Resources
Fish quantity has long been the most needed information for stock management as the main source of uncertainty for the fishing sector. However, as the rate of global environmental change accelerates, degradation of fish quality has become a new source of

A Compact Hollow Fiber Electrode Assembly Architecture for Continuous Electrochemical Marine Carbon Dioxide Removal

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A coaxial, membrane‐integrated hollow fiber electrode assembly (HFEA) is developed for continuous marine carbon mineralization. By utilizing a sub‐millimeter inter‐electrode gap, the HFEA minimizes Ohmic losses, achieving 50% energy reduction and over 85% DIC removal.

Insights into ‘Srdelara’ Purse Seines: Landing Composition and Trophic Relationships in the Pelagic Food Web

open access: yesFishes
This study analysed commercial ‘Srdelara’ purse seine landings in the Central Eastern Adriatic from November 2020 to March 2022. The observed commercial landings demonstrated typical seasonal variations, with a peak from September to November and the ...

Feeding dynamics of Northwest Atlantic small pelagic fishes

open access: yesProgress in Oceanography, 2018
Abstract Small pelagic fishes represent a critical link between zooplankton and large predators. Yet, the taxonomic resolution of the diets of these important fishes is often limited, especially in the Northwest Atlantic. We examined the diets, along with stable isotope signatures, of five dominant small pelagic species of the northeast US ...
