UC Berkeley's Cory Hall: Evaluation of Challenges and Potential Applications of Building-to-Grid Implementation [PDF]
From September 2009 through June 2010, a team of researchers developed, installed, and tested instrumentation on the energy flows in Cory Hall on the UC Berkeley campus to create a Building-to-Grid testbed.

Joint Sentinel-1 and SMAP data assimilation to improve soil moisture estimates [PDF]
SMAP (Soil Moisture Active and Passive) radiometer observations at similar to 40 km resolution are routinely assimilated into the NASA Catchment Land Surface Model to generate the 9 km SMAP Level-4 Soil Moisture product.

Researchers identified a pancreatic cancer subset with low global protein synthesis but heightened translation of stress‐response genes like ATF4, rendering cells resistant to chemotherapy and apoptosis. These tumors depend on serine and cysteine from surrounding cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs), which shift to produce serine by curbing collagen ...

Q-Exact Actions for BF Theories
The actions for all classical (and consequently quantum) $BF$ theories on $n$-manifolds is proven to be given by anti-commutators of hermitian, nilpotent, scalar fermionic charges with Grassmann-odd functionals. In order to show this, the space of fields

Stagewise crop yield prediction with multisource functional indices
Abstract Index insurance design involves integrating weather data, soil moisture, phenology information, and satellite imagery, which presents challenges in data fusion. This article addresses the modelling of multisource functional indices of varying lengths by constructing a stagewise ensemble of sequential models.

The study reveals that inadequate zinc intake disrupts gut microbiota's ability to degrade isoleucine, leading to the accumulation of metabolite KMV. KMV inhibits antibody class‐switching in mucosal B cells by suppressing the p‐ATM‐CTIP‐Hmces pathway, impairing IgA/IgG production.

Cathelicidin antimicrobial peptides have an extended and/or unstructured conformation in aqueous solutions but fold into ordered conformations, such as the α-helical structure, when interacting with cellular membranes. These structural transitions can be
