ABSTRACT Induction motors (IMs) are widely used in industry for their robustness and cost‐effectiveness, yet their nonlinear and multivariable dynamics pose significant challenges for high‐performance speed control. Model Predictive Control (MPC) is a well‐established solution but suffers from limitations related to model accuracy and parameter ...

High‐Order Sliding‐Mode control for MIMO Systems
ABSTRACT This paper extends Lyapunov‐based homogeneous high‐order sliding‐mode control to a class of uncertain non‐square multi‐input multi‐output (MIMO) nonlinear systems with a well‐defined vector relative degree. The considered systems admit a normal‐form representation with an uncertain but full‐row‐rank input‐gain matrix.

ABSTRACT South Africa faces persistently high poverty and inequality alongside a highly concentrated economic structure, raising questions about whether merger control, especially public‐interest provisions, can contribute to poverty reduction. However, empirical evidence directly linking merger adjudication outcomes to poverty remains limited.

ABSTRACT This study investigates how embedded knowledge assets influence the strategic choice between greenfield and acquisitive international joint ventures (IJVs). Integrating transaction cost theory with a knowledge‐based view, we theorize that establishment mode decisions are driven not only by governance efficiency but also by the need to access ...

ABSTRACT As top predators, terrestrial carnivores face great risk of pesticide exposure and serve as sentinels of environmental contamination. Additionally, terrestrial carnivores are frequently threatened by intentional or secondary poisoning with highly toxic compounds, such as carbamates and organophosphates.
