Root canal irrigants plays a key role in reducing the smear layer and microbial load in the root canal system. Smear layer interrupts the penetration of root canal irrigants and acts as a barrier between the root filling and the canal wall, which is a ...

Orthodontic compression suppresses PIAS3 expression in cementoblasts, impairing ALOX15 SUMOylation and ubiquitin‐mediated degradation, which leads to ALOX15 accumulation, lipid peroxidation, ferroptosis, and osteoclastogenesis. Local delivery of PIAS3 circRNA‐loaded lipid nanoparticles restores the PIAS3–ALOX15 regulatory pathway, alleviates ...

Efficiency of final irrigation of root canal in removal of smear layer
Introduction A smear layer forms on the root canal walls as the consequence of root instrumentation. The smear layer formed in such a way considerably influences the quality of root obturation and endodontic treatment outcome. Objective The aim of this study was to ultrastructurally analyze the surface of intracanal dentine after removal of the smear ...

To Evaluate the Efficacy of an Innovative Irrigant on Smear Layer Removal – SEM Analysis
The goal of endodontic therapy is to completely eliminate the microorganisms and the smear layer from the root canal in order to provide a good seal of the root filling materials. The aim of this study was to find a viable alternative irrigant, which is easily available with less erosion and clinically acceptable smear layer removal by comparing the ...

The study identifies four bonding configurations at the (111) diamond/c‐BN interface, where B or N atoms bond with either one or three carbon atoms. C‐B bonds create two‐dimensional (2D) hole gases, while C–N bonds create electron gases. Three‐C‐bonded interfaces show three times higher carrier density than one‐C‐bonded interfaces.

Degradation Mechanism of Phosphate‐Based Li‐NASICON Conductors in Alkaline Environment
The presence of water in the cathode of a Li‐air battery shifts reactions to produce LiOH, creating a corrosive, alkaline environment. This study investigates the alkaline stability of the common Li‐NASICON solid‐state conductor chemistries through a systematic experimental study combined with computational modeling to understand the degradation ...

Evaluation of techniques for removal of smear layer [PDF]
During mechanical and manual preparations and incision of hard dental tissues consecutive smear layer is created. The views of the scientific community for its elimination or incorporation are divided. The aim of the study was to evaluate the techniques and methods for removing the smear layer during endodontic therapy procedures. In this research will

Gas evolution behaviors of sodium layered oxide cathodes with varying compositions, cutoff voltages, dopants, and particle sizes/morphologies have been systematically investigated by online electrochemical mass spectrometry. The fundamental outgassing mechanisms of sodium‐based cathodes compared to lithium‐based cathodes have been elucidated.
