The Taylor expansion in $\hbar$ leads to the formal Moyal star product.

ABSTRACT Objective Downbeat nystagmus varies with head position, a phenomenon termed gravity‐dependent modulation. We aimed to clarify its mechanism using a velocity‐storage model.
