Model Smoothing Spline Dengan Error Berkorelasi (Studi Kasus: Jumlah Wisatawan Mancanegara Di Bandara Juanda) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Model smoothing spline merupakan teknik spline yang dibantu dengan parameter pemulus. Smoothing spline sangat bergantung pada estimator parameter smoothing, sehingga pemilihan parameter smoothing penting dalam menemukan estimator yang tepat pada ...

From the brink of extinction to regulation: northern Europe's white‐tailed eagles now face density dependence and climate constraints after rapid population growth

open access: yesOikos, EarlyView.
Population growth reflects the combined influence of regulation and density‐independent factors operating through demographic processes. Under exceptional circumstances (e.g. populations recovering from near‐extinction), growth may initially be weakly regulated but typically slows as negative density dependence (NDD) sets in.

Ultrasound‐Assisted Epoxy Resin Curing Monitored by Impedance Spectroscopy

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, EarlyView.
Ultrasound enhances epoxy cure rates via localized heating without altering cure kinetics. Impedance spectroscopy provides a direct, non‐destructive measure of cure progression, enabling accurate mapping of degree of cure in real time. ABSTRACT Epoxy resins are widely used in aerospace and automotive manufacturing as structural adhesives and matrices ...

Using dendroclimatic analysis of exotic deciduous conifers in an arboretum to document tree growth in response to climate change, Northeast Ohio, USA

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
Rising temperatures and wetter conditions in the Midcontinent of North America are influencing climate responses in trees. Dendroclimatological analyses of four exotic deciduous conifer species from Secrest Arboretum, Northeast Ohio help identify past, present and future climate‐tree interactions.

Fast Filtering and Smoothing for Multivariate State Space Models

open access: yes
This paper gives a new approach to diffuse filtering and smoothing for multivariate state space models. The standard approach treats the observations as vectors while our approach treats each element of the observational vector individually.

Spline Smoothing over Difficult regions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We consider the problem of smoothing data on two-dimensional grids with holes or gaps. Such grids are often referred to as difficult regions. Since the data is not observed on these locations, the gap is not part of the domain.

Nomogram integrating MRI radiomics and white matter hyperintensity grading for predicting overall survival in patients with non‐small cell lung cancer and brain metastases receiving whole‐brain radiotherapy

open access: yesPrecision Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
A prognostic nomogram integrating radiomic features and white matter hyperintensity (WMH) grading was developed to enable individualized survival prediction in patients with brain metastases (BMs). Integration of these imaging biomarkers into the clinical model enhanced predictive performance, indicating their incremental prognostic value for BM ...

Suavizamiento de los vértices de un polígono por medio de un spline cónico

open access: yesRevista Integración, 1997
We prove that every irreducible conic can be parametrically represented by two rational quadratic functions. An algorithm for smoothing the vertices of a poligonal by a conic spline with continuous tangent is proposed.

Life Cycle Pricing and the Measurement of Inflation

open access: yes
This paper explores the extent to which goods follow systematic pricing patterns over their life cycle. The theoretical literature, and anecdotal evidence, often suggests that new products are often introduced at high prices which decline as the good ...

Discount curve estimation by monotonizing McCulloch Splines [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper a new and very simple method for monotone estimation of discount curves is proposed. The main idea of this approach is a simple modification of the commonly used (unconstrained) Mc-Culloch Spline. We construct an integrated density estimate
