The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

Adaptive Smoothing Method For Computer Derivation of K-Indices [PDF]
SUMMARY This paper gives a new method for automatic calculation of K-indices by computer. The general philosophy of the method is the simulation of the hand-scaling procedure. The simple theory, based on the least-squares method with additional limitation of the second derivatives, is outlined. The method has two steps; in the second step the weighting

Stochastic components of individual consumption: a time series analysis of grouped data [PDF]
In this paper we propose a method to characterize the time series properties of individual consumption, income and interest rates using micro data, as studies in labour economics have characterized the time series properties of hours and earnings.

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

NON AND SEMI-PARAMETRIC ESTIMATION IN MODELS WITH UNKNOWN SMOOTHNESS [PDF]
Many asymptotic results for kernel-based estimators were established under some smoothness assumption on density. For cases where smoothness assumptions that are used to derive unbiasedness or asymptotic rate may not hold we propose a combined estimator ...

RoundMi: A quantitative method to analyze mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells
RoundMi is a workflow for rapid analysis of mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells. By combining adaptive preprocessing with automated segmentation and quantification, it enables accurate measurements from single focal plane images, reducing acquisition time and computational demands while remaining compatible with high‐throughput fixed and live ...

Fractional smoothness and applications in Finance [PDF]
This overview article concerns the notion of fractional smoothness of random variables of the form $g(X_T)$, where $X=(X_t)_{t\in [0,T]}$ is a certain diffusion process.

No-Reference Image Quality Assessment for SHG and Re-Scan SHG Microscopy: A Comparative Study
We investigate the performance of selected no-reference image quality assessment (NR-IQA) metrics on raw and deconvolved second-harmonic generation (SHG) and re-scan SHG (rSHG) microscopy images. A dataset comprising 150 SHG–rSHG paired images was
