Leakage of the Fluorescent Ca2+ Indicator Fura-2 in Smooth Muscle

open access: yesJapanese Journal of Pharmacology, 1993
The movement of a fluorescent intracellular Ca2+ indicator, fura-2, in smooth muscle was examined. Strips of rat and rabbit aortas and bovine trachea were loaded with the acetoxymethyl ester of fura-2 (fura-2/AM), followed by washing with normal physiological solution. Not only fura-2/AM but also fura-2 was detected in the washout solution.

A new flow chip in combination with multiphoton microscopy as a protocol for longitudinal 3D imaging of tissue calcification under shear stress

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Miniaturized flow chip platform enabling continuous perfusion and longitudinal multiphoton 3D imaging of vascular smooth muscle cell constructs under physiological flow. Brightfield imaging guides region selection, while CellTracker Green and mRuby‐labeled fetuin‐A visualize cells and mineral deposition, respectively. Magnesium supplementation markedly

Trajectory Planning for a Spraying Robotic Arm Using a Digital Twin and an Improved SAC Algorithm

open access: yesSensors
This paper proposes a trajectory planning method for a four-degree-of-freedom (4-DOF) spraying robotic arm based on a digital twin platform and an improved soft actor–critic (SAC) algorithm.

Optimizing photoexcitation conditions for time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering experiments

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering (TR‐XSS) is a powerful technique to visualize how proteins change their structure in real time after light activation. Selecting the right laser photoexcitation conditions—fluence, excitation geometry, and sample refresh rate—is critical to maximize the experimental signal while avoiding unwanted side effects ...

Generalized fractional smoothness and Lp-variation of BSDEs with non-Lipschitz terminal condition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We relate the $L_p$-variation, $2\le p < \infty$, of a solution of a backward stochastic differential equation with a path-dependent terminal condition to a generalized notion of fractional smoothness.

Random walk, excess smoothness or excess sensitivity? Evidence from literature and an application for Turkish economy [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper observes the Turkish household’ consumption data to see whether it follows random walk or not. The quarterly data covers the period from 1987:1 to 2003:4.

GelMA‐based 3D spheroids recapitulate transcriptomic and functional hallmarks of myeloid sarcoma

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
GelMA 5% hydrogels support the formation of myeloid leukemia spheroids that recapitulate MS‐specific features, including G1 arrest, apoptosis, and ECM‐driven transcriptomic reprogramming. The 3D model mimicked soft‐tissue‐like stiffness and oxygen conditions, and transcriptomic convergence with primary MS samples confirmed its utility as a preclinical ...
