Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Social‐Emotional Responding: A Perspective from Developmental Psychology

open access: yes, 2016
Social-emotional responding (SER) refers to (i) an individual’s awareness and understanding of emotional experiences in the self and others, (ii) expression of emotions, and (iii) emotion regulation capacities.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

A Hierarchical Hypergraph and Superhypergraph Framework for Semantic and Behavioral Graphs in Psychology and the Social Sciences

open access: yes
Graph theory—modeling entities as vertices and their relationships as edges—has been applied across domains from anatomical networks (e.g. teeth) to social systems [1, 2]. In psychology and the social sciences,Behavior Graphs capture temporal sequences of actions or states, while Semantic Graphs represent conceptualassociations underlying memory and ...

SOCIAL-PSYCHOLOGICAL MECHANISMS DRIVING CARBON SINK MONITORING TECHNOLOGY OPTIMIZATION AND COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN SANYA MANGROVE ECOSYSTEM CONSERVATION: A MENTAL HEALTH AND BEHAVIORAL SCIENCE PERSPECTIVE

open access: yesSchizophrenia Bulletin
Abstract Objective This study examines how social-psychological mechanisms optimize carbon sink monitoring technologies and enhance community participation in conserving Sanya’s mangrove ecosystems. Grounded in environmental psychology and behavioral science, it identifies strategies to improve

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.
