Exploring positive adjustment in people with spinal cord injury. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This study explored adjustment in people with spinal cord injury; data from four focus groups are presented. Thematic analysis revealed four themes, managing goals and expectations, comparison with others, feeling useful and acceptance, showing ...

Integration of circadian and hypoxia signaling via non‐canonical heterodimerization

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CLOCK, BMAL1, and HIFs are basic helix‐loop‐helix and Per‐Arnt‐Sim domain (bHLH‐PAS) proteins, which function as transcription factors. bHLH‐PAS proteins are designated in two classes. Many class I proteins are regulated by environmental signals via their PAS domains, but such signals have not been identified for all.

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Factors affecting external information-seeking behavior of a public projects

open access: yesJournal of Human Environmental Studies, 2017
This study focused on the factors affecting the external information-seeking behavior related to public projects. We hypothesized that when people had the cognition that the result of an opinion expression could affect the acceptance decision on a public

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Difference of information seeking behaviour depending on situations when people judge acceptance of a public project

open access: yesJournal of Human Environmental Studies, 2016
This study examined the difference of information seeking behaviour depending on situations when people judge acceptance of a public project. It was confirmed by a questionnaire experiment.
