Manual Grasparatus: A nifty tool for presenting real objects in fMRI research
One of the greatest challenges in functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) research using real objects as stimuli is their timely delivery and (pseudo)randomized presentation.

Visual attention in autism families: ‘unaffected’ sibs share atypical frontal activation [PDF]
Background: In addition to their more clinically evident abnormalities of social cognition, people with autism spectrum conditions (ASC) manifest perturbations of attention and sensory perception which may offer insights into the underlying neural ...

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by

Emerging role of ARHGAP29 in melanoma cell phenotype switching
This study gives first insights into the role of ARHGAP29 in malignant melanoma. ARHGAP29 was revealed to be connected to tumor cell plasticity, promoting a mesenchymal‐like, invasive phenotype and driving tumor progression. Further, it modulates cell spreading by influencing RhoA/ROCK signaling and affects SMAD2 activity. Rho GTPase‐activating protein

Multimodal mobile brain and body imaging for quantification of dance motor sequence learning
Understanding motor learning in naturalistic settings presents a key challenge in neuroscience. While paradigms like the Discrete Sequence Production (DSP) task have advanced our knowledge, investigating more naturalistic tasks like dance with multi ...

Does memory priming during anesthesia matter? [PDF]
This editorial argues that there is evidence for memory priming during adequate anaesthesia, and that research in the field of social cognition suggests that such priming may have important behavioural consequences.

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.
