Mild Focal Cooling Decouples Dendrites to Reconfigure Cortical Output
Mild cooling of the cortical surface selectively modulates apical dendritic excitability, plasticity, and somato‐dendritic coupling, while uncoupling these effects from basal dendrites, and reshapes apical‐driven responses in barrel cortex during whisker touch.

Mitigating opinion polarization in social networks using adversarial attacks
In recent years, the spread of social networking services (SNS) has made it easier to connect with people who have similar opinions. Accordingly, similar opinions are shared within a group, while the frequency of exposure to different opinions tends to ...

A physics‐based framework resolving graphite phase‐separation dynamics establishes a predictive, degradation‐aware fast‐charging methodology for commercial Li‐ion batteries. The resulting model‐informed protocol achieves 20%–80% state‐of‐charge in 14 min while matching the long‐term degradation of a commercial 25‐minute EV strategy.

Dynamics and stability of small social networks
The choices and behaviours of individuals in social systems combine in unpredictable ways to create complex, often surprising, social outcomes. The structure of these behaviours, or interactions between individuals, can be represented as a social network.

Five‐coordinate, square‐pyramidal Fe(II) complexes adopting polar, non‐centrosymmetric crystal structures exhibit exceptionally large easy‐axis magnetic anisotropy. Ligand‐driven distortions critically control the anisotropy, and the dielectric, Polarization vs Elecric field and piezo response studies confirm intrinsic polarization, positioning these ...
