O uso de procedimentos projetivos na pesquisa de representações sociais: projeção e transicionalidade

open access: yesPsicologia USP
O artigo propõe o estudo das representações sociais a partir da perspectiva psicodinâmica. Considera que a utilização de métodos projetivos tem-se revelado uma alternativa promissora de pesquisa, abordando-os como metodologia clínica sofisticada, que ...

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

[Children's social representation of cancer].

open access: yesRevista da Escola de Enfermagem da U S P, 2004
This research was motivated by the need to know more about the care of children with cancer. The objective of the study was to discover what the social representation of the child with cancer are. Ten open interviews were conducted with children and teenagers from 9 to 15 years of age. The analysis issues that emerged from the children's discourse were

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

SOCIAL REPRESENTATION OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE

open access: yes, 2012
The present study explored the social representations of sexual violence in Sicilian secondary schools students. Regarding the social representation of sexual violence and its possible causes, it appears to be important the limited meaning given to sexual violence referred only to those behaviors that require physical strength, whereas sexual abuse ...
