Self-organization in social tagging systems [PDF]
Individuals often imitate each other to fall into the typical group, leading to a self-organized state of typical behaviors in a community. In this paper, we model self-organization in social tagging systems and illustrate the underlying interaction and dynamics.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Ontologies and Social Tagging: Relationships and Applications
Ontology and social tagging, despite the differences they have with each other, are the new ways of organizing, representing and sharing knowledge in the electronic environment and can help promote each other.

MALAY PART OF SPEECH TAGGING USING RULED-BASED APPROACH
The research on part of speech (POS) tagging has been widely applied and used through a variety of approaches, particularly for European languages. But it is more challenging for Asian languages, especially Malay as it has some element of modification ...

Recommending Items in Social Tagging Systems Using Tag and Time Information [PDF]
In this work we present a novel item recommendation approach that aims at improving Collaborative Filtering (CF) in social tagging systems using the information about tags and time.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Modeling Emotions with Social Tags
Proceedings of 21th International Conference, UMAP 2013, Rome, Italy, June 10-14, 2013 The final publication is available at Springer via http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-3-642-38844-6_30 We present an emotion model based on social tags, which is built upon an automatically generated lexicon that describes emotions by means of synonym and antonym terms ...

Detection of extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) in plasma samples from EGFR‐mutated non‐small cell lung cancer patients. Plasma was collected before and during treatment with the EGFR‐tyrosine kinase inhibitor osimertinib. Plasma eccDNA was detected in all cancer samples, and the presence of the EGFR gene on eccDNA serves as a potential biomarker ...

Towards Social Information Seeking and Interaction on the Web [PDF]
User generated content is one of the key concepts of the social web (a. k. a “Web 2.0”) and enables users to search and interact with information that has been created (e.g. blogs) or annotated by other users (e.g. in tagging systems).

CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.
