Methylation of SOCS3 in Myeloproliferative Neoplasms and Secondary Erythrocytosis/Thrombocythemia

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Hematology, 2013
OBJECTIVE: Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) like essential thrombocythemia (ET), polycythemia vera (PV), and primary myelofibrosis (PMF) are acquired clonal hematopoietic stem cell disorders and originate from a multipotent hematopoietic stem cell ...

Genomic and epigenomic mapping of leptin-responsive neuronal populations involved in body weight regulation. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Genome wide association studies (GWAS) in obesity have identified a large number of noncoding loci located near genes expressed in the central nervous system.

Network and Gene Set Enrichment Analysis of Adipokine Drivers of Prostate Cancer; Unravelling the Mechanistic Link Between Excess Adiposity and Prostate Cancer Risk

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Adiposity‐Based Chronic Disease (ABCD), a novel model housing obesity, insulin resistance, and adipokine‐related inflammation, increases the risk of aggressive prostate cancer (PCa), posttreatment PCa recurrence, and PCa mortality. This paper provides a new network analysis of relevant metabolic drivers to provide insight into the ...

Identifying differentially expressed genes in goat mammary epithelial cells induced by overexpression of SOCS3 gene using RNA sequencing

open access: yesFrontiers in Veterinary Science
The suppressor of cytokine signaling 3 (SOCS3) is a key signaling molecule that regulates milk synthesis in dairy livestock. However, the molecular mechanism by which SOCS3 regulates lipid synthesis in goat milk remains unclear.

EXPRESSION OF NEGATIVE TRANSCRIPTION REGULATORS IN PERIPHERAL BLOOD MONONUCLEARS IN PATIENTS WITH BRONCHIAL ASTHMA

open access: yesМедицинская иммунология, 2016
Sixty patients with allergic bronchial asthma (ABA) and forty-one, with non-allergic bronchial asthma (NABA), as well as 23 healthy controls were under study. Expression of the SOCS5 mRNA from mononuclear blood cells was analyzed by RT-PCR.

New Insights Into Ginseng and Clove Supplementation: Alleviating Obesity by Reducing Leptin Resistance and Reshaping the Gut Microbiota

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
AEGC conferred substantial resistance to weight gain and reduced food intake. AEGC may alleviate LR by regulating the levels of LEP and ADP. AEGC elevated the diversity of gut microbiota and reconstructed the composition. Changes such as CAG‐873 in gut microbiota may be the reason why AEGC alleviates LR.

Threshold Effects of Maternal Vitamin C in Late Pregnancy on Infant Social Competence: A Nonlinear Dose‐Response Analysis in a Birth Cohort

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
This prospective cohort study analysing 442 mother‐offspring pairs reveals a nonlinear dose‐response relationship between late‐pregnancy serum vitamin C concentration and early offspring social competence. The strongest association was observed at low concentrations (≤ 4.9 μmol/L, β = 0.654/μmol), with diminishing effects at moderate levels (4.9–49 ...
