Hyponatremia and Oxidative Stress
Hyponatremia, i.e., the presence of a serum sodium concentration ([Na+]) < 136 mEq/L, is the most frequent electrolyte imbalance in the elderly and in hospitalized patients. Symptoms of acute hyponatremia, whose main target is the central nervous system,

Regardless of its good electron-transfer ability and chemical stability, pure Zn2SnO4 (ZSO) still has intrinsic deficiencies of a narrow spectral response region, poor absorption ability, and high photo-activated carrier recombination rate.

Serum sodium and potassium levels in mothers with term and preterm delivery: a case-control study [PDF]
Introduction: Preterm labor is a common concern of the World Health Organization. Studies have shown that Potassium and sodium channels in the smooth muscles of the uterus are involved in causing uterine contractions.

THE SODIUM HYDROXIDE-SODIUM OXIDE-SODIUM-SODIUM HYDRIDE-HYDROGEN SYSTEM [PDF]
Sodium hydride dissolves in and reacts with molten NaOH to give an equilibrium mixture of NaH, NaOH, Na/sub 2/O, Na, and H. In the case where there is a gaseous phase (hydrogen) and only one condensed phase, the system is defined by the temperature, pressure, and one composition variable.

Dynamics of Sodium in Sodium Disilicate: Channel Relaxation and Sodium Diffusion [PDF]
We use molecular dynamics computer simulations to study the dynamics of amorphous (Na_2O)2(SiO_2). We find that the Na ions move in channels embedded in a SiO_2 matrix. The characteristic distance between these channels gives rise to a prepeak in the structure factor at around q=0.95 A^-1.
