Chloride‐Mediated Electron Buffering on Ni‐Fe Anodes for Ampere‐Level Alkaline Seawater Electrolysis
Utilizing abundant chloride ion (Cl−) of seawater, the small organic molecule (SOM) layer on the electrocatalyst surface is converted to SOM‐Cl layer. Meanwhile, the conjugated structure of SOM is modified. SOM‐Cl layer can effectively mitigate the damage caused by the highly oxidative environment.

Differential Compartmentalization of Enzymatic Reactions for Lactate Signaling Across Protocells
Two populations of protocells consisting of giant unilamellar vesicles containing active species and distinct artificial organelles are competent of collective behavior by mimicking production, intercellular communication, and detection of the bioinspired signal molecule lactate. Enzymatic cascade reactions within artificial organelles demonstrate that

A Sustainable Biotechnology Approach for Mineral Separation
Silver‑binding peptides are first identified through phage‐display screening, and then engineered into multifunctional and responsive peptides or proteins. These tailored biomolecules can selectively capture and aggregate silver particles or ions from complex mixtures, enabling rapid and efficient silver separation and recovery.

SALT TOXICOSIS IN POULTS - A CLINICAL REPORT [PDF]
Sodium (Na+) is the toxic ion in salt toxicosis of domestic fowls. Sodium chloride (common salt) is generally thought of as providing the majority of Na+ found in the diet. However, other sources of sodium such as sodium bicarbonate, can also contribute

Sodium Chlorid in Bright's Disease [PDF]
ABSTRACT To the Editor: —Dr. Lowenburg's article in The Journal, Nov. 28, 1914, p. 1906, is of immense interest from the point of view of the effects of various mineral salts on metabolism, as well as of sodium chlorid in dropsy. That sodium chlorid, taken into the circulation, will, under certain circumstances, cause water retention in the tissues ...
