Study on the effect of different air-entraining agents on the properties of concrete [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
Different types of air entraining agents (sodium dodecyl sulfate (K12), sodium alpha alkenesulfonate (AOS), and fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether (AEO) air entraining agents) were selected to study the properties of concrete.

Green SDS-assisted synthesis of quinoxaline derivatives in the water [PDF]

open access: yesشیمی کاربردی روز, 2016
A simple, practical and convenient procedure for the synthesis of quinoxaline derivatives has been developed by reaction of 1,2-phenylenediamines with 1,2-diketones in the presence of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) in the aqueous medium at room temperature

An Analysis of the Interaction of Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate with Lysozyme [PDF]

open access: yesAgricultural and Biological Chemistry, 1979
The interaction of SDS with lysozyme was analyzed with enzyme activity and with NMR, fluorescence, and UV difference spectroscopies using various alkyl sulfates and variously modified lysozymes. SDS formed a stable complex with lysozyme without causing a gross conformational change in the enzyme molecule.

Production and characterization of a highly stable laccase from extreme thermophile Geobacillus stearothermophilus MB600 isolated from hot spring of Gilgit Balitistan (Pakistan)

open access: yesJournal of Taibah University for Science, 2023
Extracellular thermophilic multicopper oxidase i.e. laccase was purified, identified and characterized from Geobacillus stearothermophilus MB600. Fast protein liquid chromatography (FPLC) of lacasse showed a prominent peak at 610 nm.

Improvements in Gold Nanorod Biocompatibility with Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate Stabilization

open access: yesJournal of Nanotheranostics, 2021
Due to their well-defined plasmonic properties, gold nanorods (GNRs) can be fabricated with optimal light absorption in the near-infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum, which make them suitable for cancer-related theranostic applications ...

Purification of alpha-toxin from Staphylococcus aureus and application to cell permeabilization [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
Crude alpha-toxin was produced by Staphylococcus aureus, strain Wood 46. The amount of exotoxin was monitored during growth and all subsequent purification steps by determination of its hemolytic activity against rabbit erythrocytes.

The Dispersal of Dermal Cells with Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1972
SummarySDS (5 mM) removes histologically detectable cells from skin previously freed of ground substance with isotonic saline. Such extracts correspond in composition to those produced by trypsin. The staff of the Surgical Pathology Service, Vancouver General Hospital, assisted in the collection of specimens. Mrs. B.
