This work presents a high‐entropy doped NaV0.95 (Fe, Mn, Ni, Al, Ca)0.05PO4F cathode, which enables the whole utilization of Na ions, enhances the reaction kinetics without carbon coating, and realizes a solid‐solution reaction mechanism with a single‐crystal structure.

Molecular and cellular physiology of sodium-dependent glutamate transporters
Glutamate is the major excitatory transmitter in the vertebrate brain. After its release from presynaptic nerve terminals, it is rapidly taken up by high-affinity sodium-dependent plasma membrane transporters. While both neurons and glial cells express these excitatory amino acid transporters (EAATs), the majority of glutamate uptake is accomplished by

What is sodium glutamate and what effects it has on health [PDF]
Sodium glutamate or monosodium glutamate is a substance found naturally in certain foods, but it is a compound used in the food industry to enhance the flavor. The compound is a non-essential amino acid, which is contained in tomatoes, milk, mushrooms, fish or cheese. In the food industry, sodium glutamate is also known as MSG or E621.

This work introduces a novel Hybrid Retinal Implant (HRI), composed of a high‐density electrode array integrated with glutamatergic neurons to overcome key limitations of current retinal prostheses. The significant reduction of activation threshold and of electrode cross‐talk yields in an improved spatial resolution.

State‐of‐the‐Art, Insights, and Perspectives for MOFs‐Nanocomposites and MOF‐Derived (Nano)Materials
Different approaches to MOF‐NP composite formation, such as ship‐in‐a‐bottle, bottle‐around‐the‐ship and in situ one‐step synthesis, are used. Owing to synergistic effects, the advantageous features of the components of the composites are beneficially combined, and their individual drawbacks are mitigated.
